Brfjrhton Soldier*.i Letters received from France Tuesday contained the Information thatiEdgar Davison, of Co. M. 168th. had ; been wounded in battle during the lat-. j ter part of October, but gave no fur-| ther particulars. As his folks here ; have hud no me: sage from the war department it is to be supposed that the wounds are of a minor character. Ed-Igar is the third of the Rainbow boy* j from Brighton city to be wounded, but ' as yet none have been reported killed. and all are hopeful thal the boys still with the regiment came through the last two weeks of fighting without injury. All of the boys from near 'Brighton who were In the l6Sth Sergeant Byron Hamilton, Wayne Slmer-man,’ Ben Cherry and (Hon Shuster have been wounded but none seriously.Corp. Leonard Bristow is in a hospital in France with an attack of pneu monia. The last letter his parents j had from him was written October j 25th while in England, but a telephone ; message Tuesday morning from Mrs. -Smith, the wife of Leonard's captain brought the above report without any particulars. Cupt. Smith hading chosen to go to France a year agowith the Rainbow Division while Rol-' Jy was sent to Camp Cody, and only 1 crossed this summer.
