Will Kellerhals.Mr. and Mrs. Emil Kellerhals, of XobJe, Iowa, received a message recently from the war department at Washington, D. C., notifying them that their son, Private Will Kellerhals, died of pneumonia on October 5th. He went with the I company of 164 registered men from this county to Camp Pike, on July 22, and after a few weeks there was sent to Camp Merritt, N. J., and then over-! seas. The last direct word received | from him by his relatives was on September 14, when he was still at I Camp Merritt. Later a card came,J stating that the ship on which he sail-; ed had arrived safely. He must have j succumbed to the disease soon after i landing, if not before the ship docked. Word has come back of several cases of pneumonia, causing a number of deaths among the men who went from this county in July to Camp Pike.Private Kellerhals was 22 years of age last April, and was born at Mt. Pleasant, Iowa.Besides his parents, he is survived by one sister. Mrs. C. L. Garrick, of Winfield, and his fiancee, Miss Daisy Kephart, of Washington. He was a member of the Pleasant Hill Christian church, near Havre, and was a splendid type of citizen and soldier. He was well known around Washington, for before going to Noble the fam ily lived in the Pleasant Hill community.
