DiUbaldo, in order to determine the source of enemy fire and the most advantageous points at which to breach the hedge-vows, idubb«VAPbfearlessly exposed himself to enemy ohseivatlon and direct fire in making a reconnaissance. He then Jed his squad forward and succeeded in breaching the hedge-row so successfully as to disclose an enemy tank which was the main support of enemy fire. This enabled the destruction of tlie tank and opened the way for the infantry attack to continue, Tlie conspicuous courage and outstanding leadership and initiative of the non-commissioned officer reflect the highest credit on himself and the finest traditions of the»*armed service of the United States.He entered the service Oct. 14. 1942 and was sent over seas last March. His outfit participated in action at Carentan and St. Lo and took St. Mato and Dinard in Brittany. His last letter was written in Luxembourg.Lt.
