5 Soldiers Killed, 10 Injured In 2 Desert AccidentsTwo soldiers from the 778ih Anti-Aircraft division stationed at Camp Haan, were killed and two others injured in an accident about ihree o'clock Wednesday afternoon in Hathaway canyon northeast of Banning.The accident occuied when the men were returning with others from maneuvers in the canyon. They were in a half track which turned over on the road. Names of the victims were announced by the army as Cpl. Walter P. Stauffer of Redding, Pa., and Berlyn H. Ferrenberg of Union town,Ohio. . *The injured men were taken to the 297th hospital for treatment.Thret* soldiers were killed and eight injured in a military vehicle accident in the foothills near Indio. The injured were brought to Torney hospital here.
