He received basic trainingwith an armored division at Fort Knox, Kv. and wag sent overseasfrom there. IAttended SchoolsBorn in Menifee, Ky., October19, 19.12, he came to Hamilton at| an early age and attended theI public schools here. He married Dorothv Roberts of Hamilton,March 24, 1931. Before enteringthe army, Private Whiteman was employed by a railroad. IHe leaves a daughter, Mrs. Sallie.
