William Al-•/bort Whiteman has been returned from Italy for reburial in theField of Honor in Greenwoodcemetery and lull military funeral services are arranged for 3 o’clock Friday afternoon in the Campbell funeral home, 640 Highstreet. IRev. Ray Jones, pastor of theNorth Seventh Street lt;’hurch ofC hrist, will officiate. Friends may call Thursday afternoon and eve-ning at the funeral home.Private Whiteman was killed in action July 22, 1944 at Pennsola, Italy. He received basic trainingwith an armored division at Fort Knox, Kv. and wag sent overseasfrom there. IAttended SchoolsBorn in Menifee, Ky., October19, 19.12, he came to Hamilton at| an early age and attended theI public schools here. He married Dorothv Roberts of Hamilton,March 24, 1931. Before enteringthe army, Private Whiteman was employed by a railroad. IHe leaves a daughter, Mrs. Sallie.
