Herman Heglund, stating that he had just arrived in New Yorkaboard a hospital ah ip from France.Pvt. Heglund went to Camp Coster on Nov. lit of last year and went overseas in April. The first word his father and sister. Miss Ida Heglund, received from him since early in July was Saturday’s letter.Becoming anxious about him some \ few weeks ago they made inquiry at i the war department through the RedCross and there learned llmt lie had l)eon wounded in action and was at a hospital in France.In Saturday's letter the young man stated tliat his leg was broken just below the hip by an enemy bullet on July 31. Since that time he had been flat on his buck and unable to write while the nurses were too busy look* ing after the many wounded to write for him.He wrote that he traveled across the ocean in bed ami was now located at a hospital in New York.
