The last one i reeeiv ,y ed while we were on the front 1 was0- sitting on a truck when th*- runner e came up and gave It to me. I received n three lettera yesterday. One from Mar •e garet. Aunt Blanch and Mrs. Blaymnk k er. Margaret savs she likes Wilson Cold lege. Aunt Blanch tells me Kittanning .celebrated Austria's peace proposal | p quite elaborately. I haven’t heard from s John or Harry. I suppose they don*? i c have time to write. I slept in Tours i d one night coming bark from the hos-d pital but I left early the next morning I g ro I didn't get a chance to look around0 What do you think of the peace* talk?r I think the war will be over by th® i n first of the year. i,t | I expect to get a leave soon. They i g are usually for seven days. 1 have four 1 y months pay coming and when I get g that I think I will forget war for awhile | s anyway. I*• I I celebrated my birthday by rommg t1 out of th*1 trenches and walking about ’ I, | twelve miles so you see 1 enjoyed my- ,1- self. We are staying in German bar- 1 a : racks just now and as todav is Sun 1day we have a chance to write.
