Burns Cost the Life of Woman, 87 Years of Age£cji:From the effects of bums she had received at the home of her son. Christian Brueck, six miles south of the city, on tho 1‘lqua road, Tuesday afternoon, Mrs. Catherino Brucck died early Wed* ncsday morning.Mrs. Brucck was 87 years old and childish. For tbut reason a close watch had to be kept over her to prevent her from playing with fire. During the nb-eenco or her daughter-in-law, Tuesday afternoon, for a few minute*, she accidentally set tire to her clothing. When tlu* dnughter-in-law returned she found the ngoil woman lying on the floor and her garments a mass of flames. A bucket, of water extinguished the blixe, but only a few charred fragments of her clothing remained. The flesh on iierhands and other parts of her body was literally codked. Dr. K. F.. Morris vai colled to attend her and everything possible was done to relieve her agony and suffering.The deceased was bom in Germany and enrao to this country when a young woman. Later she came to Allen county and had resided hora for nearly forty-five years. She had been a member of the Soest Lutheran church for thirty-five years.Her husband preceded her in death six years ngo.
