FAIRFIELD.- Pvt Harold E. Crawford, 19, who was born and roared In Jefferson county, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Crawford who recently moved to Washington county, is missing in action in Korea, according to a m- s age from the defense department to hi* parents Tuesday.He enlisted in the army September 4, 1948, and served with the army of occupation in Germany. Returning to the states he j took additional training at Ft. Lewis, Wash., and at Ft. Ord and was sent to Ok nawa May 14. J 1949. On July 15 of this year he j was sent to Korea as a member of a replacement unit.
