William : De Greef was working at a boat and met his brother, Pfc. Marthin-us De Greef, who had just arrived on the same ship. Neither had anticipated the meeting.Pfc. Martinus De Greef was the first Iowan his brother, Pfc. William De Greef, had met that he knew prior to entering the services in June, 1942. Martinus entered the service in March. 1941. They are sons of Mr. and Mrs. Jake De Greef.
