TROUBLE AMONG ELKS.BUFFALO, N. Y., Aug. 30.—Buffalo Lodge No. 23, Benevolent Protective Order cf Elks, met last night and alter Ihioo hours ol an exciting session voted to ally felf wHh the Atlantic City faction. Inasmuch as the exalted ruler of the Buffalo lodgo, Harry Bote, is a graud trustee of the faction which met at Jamestown; the action of the local Elks is significant. The statement that fifty-two lodges, with a total membership of 7000 had declared In favor of the Atactic City contingent had considerable influence on the final decision. It is expected that the action of the Buffalo lodge will have the* effect of settling the present controversy between the two tactions, though some of the members think the split will continue and that there will be be pa rale orders of Eiks.
