Wilbert Lash of Steubenville was awarded the Bronze Star for meritorious service against the enemy on Bougainville in the Southwest Pacific.Sgt. Charles A. Harvey of Steubenville, was awarded the Air Medal in recognition of his services as Troop Carrier C47 crew chief in the European Theater.
