Final Chapter Will Be Written in History Of Indian Scout UnitFort Huacbuca, Ariz., Aug. 30. —(fl3)—The concluding chapter of a memorable unit of the United States army has been written with announcement here that the last Indian scouts In service will be retired in about two months.Headquarters of this historic military post said yesterday the four remaining scouts had been placed on terminal leave. The ^passing of the picturesque army J unit, established 61 years ago by ,jOen. George Crook, will not be marked with any formal ceremonies.
