Midcounty Soldiers In Second Phase Oi Six-Month TrainingTwo Midcounty soldiers have begun the second phase of six months' active military training under the Reserve Forces Act program at Fort Sam Houston.They are Pvts. Alton E. Stanley whose wife, Joyce, lives at 140C Johnson street. Port Neches, and Max S. Stevens, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chester L. Stevens of 195 Hill Terrace drive, Nederland,Stanley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alton A. Stanley of Beaumont, is receiving eight weeks of medical training at the Brooke Army Medical Center. This will be followed by six weeks of advanced unit training.A 1952 graduate of Port Neches-Groves High School, he was employed by Texas-U. S. Chemical Company before entering the Army.Stevens, a 1956 graduate of Lamar Tech, is also receiving the medical training course to be followed by advanced unit training He was formerly employed by Sears, Roebuck Co., in Beua-mont.
