CpI. Chester C. ClarkChester C. Clark, eon of Mr. and Mrs. Kay E. Clark, Route 2, Lako, Mich., recently was promoted to corporal while serving in Korea with the 1343rd Engineer Combat Battalion.The 1343rd, a part of the X Corps, is an Alabama National Guard unit. It was committed to the Korean fighting in February, 1951, and since has had a major role ill road and bridge construc-Uo*V —.Corporal Clark, who entered the Army in July, 1950, wears the UN and Korean Service Ribbons.He attended Michigan State Co!*-lege for three years.
