Robert W. Maring, of the navalreserve, son of Mrs. M. Maring of 334 East Fourth street, has been promoted from the rank of lieutenant junior grade to full lieuten w ant. He has been stationed at SanJuan, PuertoRico for the for the past two and a half years.Lieutenant Mar*^ing is the trans-^ portation officer for the district.He was graduated from Ot-t u m w a highschool, attende*^Iowa Successschool and received hia bachelor of laws degree at the Southeastern university. where he was taking a post graduate course when he was commissioned an ensign in the navjr^ air corps. His brother, Paul A. Maring. is taking radar training n I in the army.
