They recall its fast but fiercely 1 contested advance in the Meuse-Ar-gonne offensive—-they remember that once this well-disciplined superb-spirited division went into action it v-aa kept at the front eon-inuously for 76 days, except six days utilized in moving from St. Mihiei to the Meuse-Argonne area.| Colonel Gus D. Dittmar of Houston, chief of staff of the division, presided as master of ceremonies for the presentation. Col. Dittmar, all southwest conference center from the University of Texas in 1913, 1914 and 1915, served in the 90th in the last war as a Captain in .the 860th Infantry regiment.Brigadier General J. W, Me-Kelvie, commanding General of the 90th Division, made the response to the presentation address made by Jester.Plaque® commemorating the presentation of the flag were presented to Governor Stevenson and those present from this state for the ceremony.
