Word Is ReceivedHere Of The Death Of 2nd Lt. Norman DesLauriers2nd Lt. Norman A. Des Lauriers, U.S. A., became the twenty-sixth Bristolian to lose his life in this War when he was killed in action August 6th somewhere in France, according to a telegram received here Sunday by his mother, Mrs. John G. Des Lauriers, 1305 Hope street. He was 32 years of age.2nd Lt. Des Lauriers was bom in Worcester, Mass., January 27, 1912 but made Bristol his home ever since his parents came here to live in 1918. He attended the local schools and then entered Brown University from which he was graduated in 1933. Prior to becoming a member of the armed forces he was employed by the James Hanley Brewing Company of Providence as assistant manager. |He was inducted into the Army on j July 3, 1942 and later was graduated j from the Officers Training School at I Fort Benning, Georgia. He served in the infantry and had been overseas for many months ;2nd Lt Des Lauriers leaves his 1 mother and his sister, Mrs. Claire McIntosh, both of this town
