Naval Aviation Cadet Waldo J. Helmeke, Georgetown, has completed three months of physical conditioning and ground school work at the United States navy pre-flight school, Athens, Ga. He has been ordered to the naval air station at Moffett Field, Sunnyvale, Cal., for lighter-than-aircraft training. Helmeke, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Helmeke, graduated from Moorhead high school in 1941. He was transferred to Athens from the CAA war training service school at Denton, Texas.
