CaliforniaWelflinof Wheeling arrived from New York on Monday to spend the week. Captain Welflin is scheduled to report at Hamilton Field, California, August 20, to receive further orders.Since receiving his commission in September, 1942, Don has served for 21 months in the personnel division at Mitchell Fieldand two months in the adjutant generals office at Roslyn, N. Y.LcPfc Melvin Grandt of Wheelinghas returned to the States and is Iconvalescing in the naval .hospital near Oakland, Calif.Pfc Grandt was with the Ma-Aie:rines at Saipan where he received a hip wound.
