New CommanderFor U. S. NavalReserve CenterLcdr. Alfred J. Ketchen, DSN, a native of Old Town, Maine, is the new commanding officer of the U. S. Naval Reserve Training Center here. He arrived last week to assume his first command assignmentof this type.He came from duty as operations officer of the USS Spiegel Grove, a landing ship dock, which was stationed at LittleCreek. Va. His predecessorhere, Cdr. .John Stusnick. USN,has left to take up his newduties at the U. S. Naval Reserve Training Center in Albany.The new station skipper entered the U. S. Navy in 195*1 after two years duty as an engineer with the U. S. Merchant Marine. He is a graduate of the Maine Maritime Academy. His duty assignments have included a year in Iran with the Military Advisory Group and duty aboard several T.STs andether ships.His family includes his wife Joan, three daughters. Joyce, 11, Nancy, 9, and Pamela. I, and a son, Alfred Jr., six months. They are residing on Lake Road.
