Lt. Richard MulroneyDies In Plane CrashLt. Richard Mulroney, 21, was } killed In an airplane accident at1 Wilmington, N. C., Sunday ac-1 cording to a message received by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Mulroney, residing about eight miles northeast of Mallard.Lt. Mulroney was a graduate of the Emmetsburg high school and junior college and had spent ayear at the University of Iowa. He entered the a rforce in February of last year. His training recently had been in the flying of a one-seat fighting plane.No details of the accident have*been received as yet but the war department stated that a letter would follow.Lt. Mulroney was a classmate of Lt. Joe Finn and Lt. Claude Parish, both of whom died in air crashes during the year.The remains will arrive in Emmetsburg Thursday morning and the funeral will be held Friday morning at Assumption church in Emmetsburg at 9 a. m. and interment will be in St. John’s cemetery at that place.
