Former Wyoming Boy Is Killed In ActionPrivate William F Meaker, age 24, and formerly of Wyoming, has been killed in action in France according to word received from the War Department by his wife, Mrs. Mildred Meaker, 705 Harvard avenue, Peoria.Private Meaker, who was born in Wyoming, had been in the army since September, 1943, and had been overseas since April. He was in the infantry.Eesides his wife, the former Mildred Armstrong, he is survived by his father, who lives in Iowa, and two brothers, Albert and Robert. The latter is stationed with the army in Indiana.He was a nephew of Mrs Mary Pullen, George and Roy Meaker, of Wyoming and W. G. Meaker, of LaFayette.
