(2 -'Mrs. Bernice Feres of Binghamton seeks S100, 000,000 from the government for the death of her husband in a barracks fire at Pine Camp.Mrs. Feres alleges the government failed to furnish her husband, First Lt. Rudolph ,T. Feres, with a proper place in which to work and live, and claims the barracks were unsafe due to a defective heating plant.Lt. Feres was one of five officers who died in the fire Dec. 10, 1947.Papers in the suit brought by Mrs. Feres were served Saturday on Assistant U. S. attorney Edmund Port.
