Sgt. James B. Blalock, 20 year old Cullmanite, is a paratrooper now serving* with the 11th Airborne Division. His unit, the 187th Glider Infantry Reg’t., is stationed in Hakodate, Hokkaido, Japan, and his occupational duty is leader of a rifle squad. He was recently promoted to the grade of staff sergeant.A student before entering the Army, Blalock plans on going to college on the G.I. Bill when he returns. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Asa. Blalock, reside on Cullman,Route 1.
