Captain McBroom HereCapt. Walter McBroom, wife and son, of Galveston, Tex., are visit- ' ing with relatives in Fountain ■county. They were in Covington this week visiting with George A. Law and family. Capt. McBroom left his home in Hillsboro 24 years ago and entered the military acad | emy at West Point, where he grad uated four years later,, receiving his commission as an officer in the regular army at that time. He has now risen to the rank of Captain., and just recently returned with his regiment from Vera Cruz,where 1 he was stationed during the late Mexican trouble. His many for- j raer friends in this county were lt;glad to see him.
