Last Thursday night a venerable clergy* mao, residiog in Obion county, aged over sixty yeara, was dragged from his bed and given over sUty lathes by a band of disguised Democrats, for the ostensible reason that he had denounced the Ko Klux organisationOo Tuesday night last a colored man in the same community shared a worse fate, and was left dead.A correspondent of the Nashville Republican says constant outrages are committed there by the Kn Klux, bat no paper or voice proclaims their Equities except at the risk of life. Having seen them, Prowl hid himself in a bgrn, about one hundred yards from the hiase, while his wife told the chief they had do corn or oats or anything with which to feed the horses They then demaodrd something to eat for themselves, whiob was also refused, the people being very poor. Three of the men then walked up to the woman and fired at her deliberately, in the presence of four of her children, killing her instantly.A body of Ku-Klux in Wayne connty visited a furnace a tew days since, owned by a Northern man, and required him to call in all his employes, to whom they gave the Kual Ku-Klux orders. They then departed, aud on iheir return through Wayues-borough they were ordered to halt by the sheriff, but they refused, when the sheriff fired into them aud retreated to the jail.
