MemorialJacob (Jake) Todd of Apt. 810, West Virginia Manor, Bluefield, a member of the China-Burma-India Hump Pilots Association, will be among those participating in dedication of a memorial Friday, Aug. 31 at 10 a.m. near the entrance to the Air Force Museum at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio.The memorial, completed funded by the HPA, encompasses a “piece of the Hump/’ as the Himalayan Mountains were called. These words will be etched in granite for the memorial: “In memory of those United States and Allied personnel who flew the Himalayas in the China-Burma-India Theater in World War II. Erected by the China-Burma-India Hump PilotsAssociation, a group of their comrades, families and friends.”
