from thteCompleting the Junior Platoon Leaders Class, July 22, at the Marine Corps Schools, Quantico, Va,, was Marine Reservist Thomas L. Hanna, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Hanna of 513 14thSt. , Nederland.Twice annually, six-week classes are conducted during the summer months. The courses in leadership, physical fitness and military subjects are designed to prepare young men from colleges and universities throughout the nation for commissions in the Marine Corps.Those completing the course, upon graduation from college, are commissioned second lieutenants and sent to a 26-week course at Officers Basic School, Quantico.
