H is now obeying orders and taking army rations with the First regiment. The company reached camp Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock. The five Milwaukee companies, Ocouomowuc and the band were on the grounds. Fort Atkinson and Kenosha arrived an hour after Monroe, Beloit, Whitewater and Madison and had to go on parade with nothing to eat but rations brought with them in their haversacks,The trip to camp was without event aside from 11 strung talk that Private Burns gave Capt. Durst and finally induced tho captain to give him a pass which would allow him to drop oft at Kilbonvn. The train did not remain in Kill am vn long enough to allow Johnny to get off.
