I re- ' reived your letter dated June 2nd and I was sure glad to hear from you all. Well, thank God, we landed here safe and I guess we will all land back in the good old U. S. A. some day befo:1® long. This is sure a fine country. It 1 don’t get very hot here. All the crops are looking fine. The wheat is still green. They don’t raise any corn here, just wheat, oats and hay. They are making hay now. They sure have a funny, way of farming here. They only work one horse to carts and when they do work two they hitch one in front of the other. I have also seem a few yokes of oxen. The people farm hero in little patches but they sure keep everything nice and clean. They raise a lot of potatoes here also. They sure have some road* here, all rock witlr nice shade trees along the side. I like it better here*than at Gamp Funston, no dust here. I guess
