Mary E. Wise, a female private of the 34th Indiaua Volunteers, presented herself at the Paymaster General's Office and drew her pay for two yeara military seivice. Mary was in numerous engagement* in the Wear, and waa wounded three times; the last time at the battle of Lookout Mourn tain, the ball taking effect in the shoulder. She waa dressed in male attire, and was conveyed from tho battle field to a hospital. Oq the Surgeoo coming round to dress her wouod her sex was discovered, and she was mustered out of the service. Maty is by no means bad looking.
