tySpotters To Get Pins From Army1 'lt;■To Be In Recognition Of Services At Various Posts In Allegany CountyThirteen chief observers and many members o£ the Allegany County Observers Corps will receive gold pins from the First Fighter Command, United States Army Air Forces, for their service at airplane spotting posts throughout the county, It jras announced last night by Howard P. Lougltric, district director of the Corps.Lieut. Sterling S. Speake, Signal Corps, Ground Observer officer wrote Laughrie that all names must-be mailed to the Philadelphia Fighter Wing, Ground Observer Section, prior to Monday in order to receive the pins in the near future. Lough-rle said the pins are outstanding In appearance featuring wings and suitable inscription.Chief observers who will receive pins are Mrs. Nina Bender, Flint-stone; William B, Woolf, Keyser, W. Va.; Eugene T, Hughes, Paw Paw, W. Va.; Robert Kirby, Mt. Savage; Ervin Rudy, Oakland; Samuel \V. Widmer, Wes temper t; Miss Ann Sloan, Lon a coning; Fred W. Boefct-ner, Frostburg; R. Walters, Pinto; W. A. Miller, Ellerslie; Mrs. Helm!Vandegrift, Bedford road; Alec Sloan, Constitution Park; Noah Carter. Old town. Names of observers are not available.
