El Paso Veteran Gets Korea DecorationAn El Paso civilian and former Army sergeant, Arturo Perez of 1101 Tays street, is one of six men who will be decorated for service in Korea at a dismounted review on Noel Field. Ft. Bliss, tomorrow at 9:30 a. m.Others in the group are four Army officers and an enlisted man from Ft. Bliss.Maj. Gen. S. R. Mickelsen, Ft. Bliss commander, will present the decorations.Topping the list of awards is the Bronze Star Medal for Valor which goes to 1st Lieut. John E. Ryan.Other awards are the First Oak Leaf Cluster to the Bronze Star to Capt. John L. Weems and the Bronze Star Medals (Meritorious) to Chaplain Lawrence R. Rast, Maj. Melvin C. Robinson, M Sgt. Paul Z. Cooke, and Sergeant Perez.The public is invited to attend the parade and presentation of awards.
