Dr. Morrow In Army; Closes Office Aug. 15Dr, A, R. Morrow Saturday afternoon closes his practice for the duration and after a short vacation will enter the Army Medical Service with the rank of Major, He has practiced at Cazenovia for 17 years. The Doctor leaves with the Syracuse University Hospital unit which will go into active duty within a month.Dr. Morrow who enlisted in the first world war when he was 21, was a member of hospital unit G from Syracuse university when the unit was sent overseas in 1917.The outfit, composed of approximately 12 physicians and 20 nurses, was under the command of Lt.-Col. E. S. Van Duyn, and was later merged with' a unit from Youngstown, Ohio. *The merged groups became known as base hospital 31, AEF, located at Contrexville, Vosges, France. At Contrexville the hospital was practically in the open field, nurses and doctors operating under the most adverse conditions, lacking even light and water at times.
