May liis labors be successful in his new held.Comrade Huestontook Eiam Button to the Soldiers Home at Dayton last Thursday and left him there. When the war broke out, Button was a citizen of Kentucky, and was loyal to the Government. He siezed the tirst rebel llag he saw and tore into pieces. Par this act he was hunted down like like a dog, and his friends kept nim him hid in a well for several days until he could get away and join the Union army. He served in the Sixth Ken-tuckey Cavalry aud come to Indiana at the close of the war. lie is (57 years old. had no home, nor any one to care for him. He was at first refused admission to the Home, for the reason that they are crowded. The Grand Army boys would not take no for an answer, but sent him there, as above stated. May the last days of the old soldier be passed in peace as lie enjoys the bounty of the Government he hely to save.
