Gyla Dunmire, retired teacherMrs. Gyla Foster Dunmire, 82, of 301 College View Towers, Grove City, died in the Hillcrest Nursing Center, Grove City, Thursday afternoon following an extended illness. She had lived in Harrisville and Grove City much of her life and at College View since 1978.Born in Irwin Township Jan. 30, 1902, she was a daughter of Benjamin Homer and Sarah Marilla Baker Gilmore. She was married to Quay H. Foster on June 17, 1924 and he died April 3, 1944. She married Arthur L. Dunmire in June 1955 and hedied Aug. 31, 1968.A graduate of Slippery Rock Normal School, she was a school teacher for 28 years, spending her final 19 years in Harrisville. Mrs. Dunmire was retired in .1961.She was an active member of the Grace United Methodist Church, Grove City, where she taught Sunday school, and was a member of the PSMR Sunday School Class.
