Carpenter, son of Mrs Eva Carpenter of Smethport, Saturday at the East Smethport EUB Church.The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev John Carlson, pastor, at an altar hanked with arrangements of white gladioli Mrs. Jerry Rote was organist and Mrs. Cora Johnson was soloist.Bride s AUireEscorted to the altar by her father, the bride was attired in a street length gown of Alcn-con lace with a fitted bodice having three-quarter length sleeves and a scoop neckline She wore a double strand of crystals and crystal earrings. A scalloped tiara etched with seed pearls and crystal sequins held her elbow length veil and she carried a white Bible, gift of the bridegroom, topped by a w hite orchidMaid of honor was Miss Jane Moore, East Smethport, cousin of the bride, and bridesmaid was Miss Lois Dunbar, Port Allegany.The attendants wore street length gowns of nylon over tafteta with lace jackets and full skirts. Their accessories were white and they carried colonial bouquets of pink and blue carnations Miss Moore’s dress was pink.
