Press dispatches received here the past week gave notice that Pvt. James W. Reed, of Dublin, was recovering- from wounds received in the battle of Okinawa. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James N. Reed. Private Reed was a rifleman with the 77t.h Infantry Division and received injuries in the eye and also in the shoulder by grenade fragments. He holds the Purple Heart and the Combat Infantryman Badge.
