Army Private John T. Lape, 20, ] son of Mr. and Mrs. William E. Lape, of 50 Goodrich Ave., recently completed an eight-week cooking course at the U.S. Army Training Center, Armor, Ft. Knox, Ky. The course trains personnel to prepare and serve a wide variety of food in large or small quantities. Students are trained in baking, the principles of meat cutting, field kitchen operations and service of an army mess hall.
