CPL. LUIS PEREZ JR.Korean War VeteranReporting to Fort Sam Houston Friday, August 10 for reassignment will be Cpi. Luis Perez, Jr. son of Mr .and Mrs. Luis Perez of Aransas Pass.Serving one year on the Korean battlefront from July, 1950 to July 1951, the soldier has spent a 30 day leave with relatives and friends here.This is the first visit home for Cpl. Perez since enlistment in 1949. He received his training at Fort Lewis, Washington and went immediately into action at the outbreak of Korean Hostilities. He is 23 years old and attended schools in Aransas Pass.
