I left Warren last Thursday, Aug. t 1; got to Oil City at 1 p. m., and left there D at 3, going to Red Bank where com- a panies from Ridgway and Bradford e joined the train which was made up of n 17 care. This camp was reached at dark. ¥ Pittsburg is 28 miles away and Freeport about one mile across the river. This I o camp is located on the bank of the Alle-1 o gheny and is well suited for the purpose, 11 except that the drill ground is not near a large enough for the 3,000 men in the 2d brigade.
