Oakes, 29. of 122 East* Melbourne avenue; George D. Osborn, 18, of 1208 Erie avenue, sen of Mrs. Mabel Nether-cutt, Wbeatlard. avenue; Robert C. Kelley, 18, son of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Kelley, Lucerne; -Daniel L. Rush, 524 Twelfth street; William W. Holmes, 17, son of Mr. and Mrs. Vernie Holmes, 506 Twelfth street; and Louis H. Battenfield, 18, sen of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence J. Battenfield, route 1, Wipamac.Oakes has had six years prior service in the airborne and ranger companies. Battenfield, who was graduated from the Culver Military academy with the class of 1954, chose • tfce artillery as his branch of enlistment.AH of the enlistments were for three years except that, of Kelley, which was for four years.
