Arredondo of Mentone was posthumously honored by. the award of the bronze star medal for meritorious service during a military operation against an ene lay of the United States while a member of the medical company/ 38th infantry regiment. 2nd infan* try division, in Korea from September 2 to October 13, 1951.The bronze star medal award was presented to Joe a. Arredondo, brother of Pfc. Arredondo, by Brig. Gen. B. C. Langmead, commanding general of San Bernardino air ma-. teriel area. Norton air force base.
