This letter follows: -“Dear Sir:“I am in receipt of a French decoration the Croix de Guerre, with bronze star and citation certificate and translation of the same, which has been awarded to John Brindle, late corporal, Company E, 15th Infantry.“I thought perhaps both yourself and the citizens of Lebanon would like to have some sort of ceremony in the presentation of this medal to this| man's mother, Mrs. Georgietta!
