NEWS OF RED CROSSIn spite of the great heat of the last week, all the women have worked so well and faithfully that we have been able to make the largest total Red Cross shipment in July. A total of 5,980 articles have been turned into the chapter headquarters in Chicago, distributed as follows:Knitted cotton articles.................. 899Gauze dressings ............................2,916Flannel articles ............................ 324Gingham articles .......................... 62Mu Gin articles ..............................1,707Sateen articles ................................ 4STowels ............................................ 24Total..............................................5,980The River Forest auxiliary has made 366 of these articles and on last Tuesday this organization started the gauze dressing work with a great deal of enthusiasm.
