The exemption board, consisting of IT. R. Kharpless, county treasurer; j Roy Trimble, sheriff, and Dr. C. A. Lilly, is in receipt of orders from the provost marshal general at Washington to call 2 90 more men ah soon j as they find the original Ccill will not frunish the quota. Mr. Sharpies* says this call cannot be made until after j the first H0 of the notified men have ! been examined, as the proportion of the probable exemptions and* dis- ( charges cannot he arrived at until that time. It is probable the next 1 notices, if they arc necessary, will be sent out next Wednesday or Thursday, and the men will be ordered to appear for examination the following i week. The Globe will contain the list of the second hunch of men notified at that time.“It will not be necessary for drafted men to worry about exemption or discharge until after they have been i through the physical examination, j said Mr, Sharplcss today. “We have | been swamped with telephone and personal inquiries on this point and have repeatedly explained the time is not ripe.
