Shirley Fern KepkaELLSWORTH — Shirley Fern Kepka, 86, died Thursday, Aug. 1, 2013, in Ellsworth. She was born June 12,1927, in Ellsworth to William and Grace (Allen) Sheridan. She was a retired clerk for the district court and school secretary.On Aug. 6, 1949, she married Adolph Leo Kepka in Ellsworth. He preceded her in death on Jan. 27, 2003.Survivors include her son, Bob Kepka, of Ellsworth; daughter, Barbara (Larry) Lyons, of Emporia; granddaughters, Laney (Keegan) Odle, of Overland Park, and Lindsey (John) Decker, of Salina; grandson, Anthony Kepka, of Eudora; great-granddaughter, Ellie Odle, of Overland Park; and great-grandson, Teagan Decker, of Salina.Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 4, with the family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m., at Parsons Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 5, at the funeral home.Memorials may be given to the Ellsworth Volunteer Fire Department or J.H. Robbins Memorial Library, in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 45, Ellsworth 67439.
