Watkin, Jr., whose appointment to professor at the U.S. Military Academy was recently confirmed by Congress.’ has been named deputy head of j the Department of Earth, Space! and Graphic Sciences. That sounds like quite a field to cover.!Col. Watkin is well-known hereabouts. His wife, Carol, is the (laughter of Mrs. Edward D. Snyder. 430 Harrison. !The colonel is a 1942 West Point graduate, studied at Cal-' Tech, and was first in his graduating class at the Command and General Staff college, Ft. Leavenworth. The Watkins have four sons.
