Former Student of State Home, Graduate Of West Point, HereCarl Green, former State Home high school graduate, and graduate of West Point Military Academy, is visiting friends in Corsicana for a few days before leaving for San Francisco, where he will sail for Panama on Sept. 10. Green is a second lieutenant, and will be stationed in Panama in thecoast artillery. ■ ,He graduated from the State Home high school in 1924 with an enviable scholastic and athletic record, and was one of the most popular students in the school. Green made track letters for three years at West Point, and climaxed his career by winning the Penn State Relays this year, crossing the tape far in the lead of his opponents. He also made a * monogram1' for three years In football at the military academy.The youthful West- Pointer is well liked in Corsicana where lie has a host of friends, who wish him success in his work in Panama.
